Adriatic hinterland wine subregion
The Adriatic Hinterland subregion is a unique part of Montenegro’s coastal viticulture area. It encompasses a large number of viticultural oases situated at higher altitudes above the Adriatic Sea, where the rugged terrain, Mediterranean climate, and mountain influences create a distinctive environment for grape growing.
This subregion includes traditional wine-growing areas such as Dapčevići – Grdovići, Podi, Stari Bar – Turčini, Tuđemili, Gradac, Ugao, Brda, Lapčići, Viškovići – Zečevo Selo, Ježević, Veljinići, Ledenice, Knežlaz, Poljice, Bakoči–Lastva–Repaji, Mokrine, Luštica, and Vrmac.
