Detail information
The “Giljača” Winery is the first registered winery in this part of Boka, located in Grbalj, within the Boka Kotorska Viticulture Subregion, in the village of Ljesevići, Kotor Municipality. For several decades, our family has cultivated grapevines in this area and produced wine for personal use and friends. In 2000, we began constructing a new cellar and acquiring modern equipment for production and processing, with a capacity of 25,000 liters. We also engaged top experts in both the cellar and vineyards. By 2010, we released and registered our first products: the Vranac wine, Reserve (a blend of Vranac, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot), and grape brandy, all of which we are very proud of.
We grow indigenous varieties such as Vranac, Kratošija, Lisicina, as well as smaller quantities of Kadarun and Plavka. Among international varieties, our vineyards feature Marselan, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. We are currently preparing to plant several thousand new vines, which will include both domestic and international varieties.
At the Giljača Winery, the “Trio” line currently dominates, featuring four red wines, two white wines, and grape brandy.
Red wines: Trio Vranac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trio Reserve, and Trio Rosé.
White wines: Trio Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Our plan for the future includes completing two blocks of the winery and the tasting room within the complex. This will allow us to better showcase not only our products but also the rich traditions and unique character of Boka.
