Detail information

Savina winery is nestled on the slopes of Savina Hill, overlooking the historic Savina Monastery in Meljine, Herceg Novi. Its rich winemaking heritage dates back to 1753, when the estate was known as Villa di Meljine in old Venetian land registries.

Initially a family hobby, the winery transitioned commercially in 2014, now producing around 20,000 bottles annually. Today, the winery cultivates 2 hectares of vineyards featuring international grape varieties such as Grenache, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.

While growing steadily, winery Savina aims to remain boutique-sized, preserving the charm of the estate and revitalising the locality. In partnership with the Savina Monastery, established in 1030, the winery recently planted new vineyards on monastery grounds, dedicated to crafting wines that honour this sacred place.
