Detail information
Mola winery is a family venture that began as a hobby and evolved into a serious winemaking journey. Located on the northern edge of Podgorica, where urban plains meet the hilly terrain of Piperi, it has become one of the most exciting names on Montenegro’s wine scene.
On about 3,5 ha of land in Rogami, the Vučinić family cultivates vines at Mrki Krš and Bilo, once-inaccessible areas that now yield top-quality grapes. What sets this winery apart is its bold approach to experimentation: from biodynamic viticulture to aging wine on the bottom of Lake Skadar.
Wines of Mola winery
Mola wines reflect creativity, innovation, and a deep commitment to the Piperi terroir. Each label carries distinctive imprint of local soil, microclimate, and an authentic approach:
- Mola Merlot – A medium-bodied, fruit-forward wine. Aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and red currant with a spicy touch. Ideal with rich pasta dishes, roasts, and semi-hard cheeses.
- Mola Chardonnay – An extremely elegant and complex Chardonnay aged in acacia barrels, with pronounced aromas of peach jelly, dried apricot, stone fruits, and a subtle hint of acacia and creamy notes.
- Mola Emi Rose – A light-bodied rosé with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and citrus tones. Refreshing and easy to drink, an excellent summer choice with salads, grilled chicken, and soft cheeses.

Highlights of Mola winery
Mola Winery steps beyond traditional wine production, embracing exploration, innovation, and a unique approach to oenology.
Underwater wine ageing
Mola limited-edition Chardonnay spends six months aging beneath the surface of Lake Skadar, in a carefully controlled underwater environment. Shielded from light, exposed to constant pressure, and kept at stable temperatures, the wine evolves in a unique way that enhances its texture and complexity.
What began as an experiment turned into a signature innovation — a wine that combines curiosity, tradition, and nature’s influence to deliver a truly distinctive expression of the Montenegrin terroir.
Elegant, mineral-driven, and subtly layered, this Chardonnay is as intriguing as the method used to create it.
From hobby to brand
What began as a passion project has evolved into a winery producing 15,000 liters annually, with a strong presence on the domestic market and at wine events.
Mrki Krš and Bilo
Once considered inaccessible, these sites have been transformed into viticultural gems. The rocky soils give the wines depth, while the Piperi microclimate brings balance and freshness.
