Krgović winery is a family-owned estate located in Rogami, just 4 kilometers north of Podgorica city center, at an altitude of 45 meters. Established in 2009, the winery is situated near the archaeological site of Doclea, close to the confluence of the Morača and Zeta rivers.
The winery began as a hobby of founder Ljubiša Krgović, who initially planted a small vineyard with two thousand Vranac vines in the early 2000s. Over time, his passion for winemaking grew, leading to commercial production starting in 2009.
Today, Krgović winery’s vineyards span 8.5 hectares across three distinct locations near Podgorica – Rogami, Gornji Crnci, and Beri – each offering a unique microclimate. This diversity enables the cultivation of various grape varieties, including Vranac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscato Bianco, Pinot Gris, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Wines under the Arhonto brand carry profound historical significance. The name “Arhonto” is derived from “Archon,” a title held by the ancient rulers of Duklja. The winery’s logo is inspired by the seal of Archon Petar, Duklja’s most famous ruler, reinforcing a powerful connection between the wines and the area’s rich historical heritage.
